How we got started? We'd be amiss if we didn't give credit where credit is due. Kudos to Mr. Lee Goddard of the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. He wrote in his September 10th newspaper article an analysis validating the need for a community Islanders forum . Give Lee credit for waking us sleeping Islander fans up from our siesta. Summer is the traditional quiet time of the year for Islanders sports, so give us fans a little slack for resting a bit during the hot summer Texas sun.

Each sport, men's and women's, has its own dedicated board! Seamless user posting, polling features, photo posting, a proprietary internal profile emailing system that maintains your email privacy when sending messages, and more. Each board is designed to have one or multiple moderators. And in the future, it's built to handle streaming video and audio interviews. Ready, Set, Go! We're now in our startup phase, and one of our next steps will be to announce the appointment of an Islanders Sports News Director. This professional will have his or her pulse on Islanders athletics, documenting the real deal and up to date news for Islanders fans. Plus be a leader, reaching out by way of community outreach programs, and developing loyalty programs for area businesses. Be on the lookout for in depth news reports, interview blogs, video and audio interview streaming, and insightful editorials!
